These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Politik mobile application ("App") operated by VNTY LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Politik, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Politik is a civic engagement and education platform that provides:

  • Information about elected officials, including voting records and contact details
  • Real-time tracking of federal and state legislation
  • An AI-powered assistant for civic education questions
  • Interactive tools for exploring government branches at the federal and state level
  • Community polling on policy topics

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the App without our consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Government Data

Politik aggregates publicly available government data from official sources including Congress.gov, the Google Civic Information API, OpenStates, and the Federal Election Commission. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Government data may have delays between official action and display in the App
  • We do not guarantee that all data is complete, current, or error-free
  • Data should not be relied upon as the sole source for legal, financial, or political decisions

Politik is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government entity.

6. AI Assistant

The Politik AI assistant provides informational responses about government and civics. AI-generated content:

  • Is intended for educational purposes only
  • May contain errors or outdated information
  • Does not constitute legal, political, or professional advice
  • Should be independently verified for important decisions

7. Polls and User Participation

Politik may offer polls and interactive features. Poll results reflect the opinions of participating users only and are not scientific surveys. We reserve the right to moderate or remove poll content that violates these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by VNTY LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Government data displayed in the App is public domain. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without written permission.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Politik may offer premium features through paid subscriptions. If applicable:

  • Subscription terms and pricing will be displayed before purchase
  • Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of the applicable app store

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VNTY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VNTY LLC and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
